Mark Shapiro made an interesting deal with the Dodgers regarding the Bradley trade in that we get a top ten minor leaguer from the Dodger's farm teams as the player to be named later, but we can wait until June 30th to pick him!

I think this was brilliant strategy on Shapiro's part as we get to pick somebody based on their performance over the first three months of this season. The Dodgers don't know who we will pick so they can't hide all of their top players on the bench until after June 30th, so we should do well when we take the second player in the trade.

Here's a pickle for you, WHY WAIT to get the second player we are entitled to??? We are in desperate need of a relief pitcher, and if we see someone in the Dodgers farm system who can help us now, why wait until the end of June to select him?

Sure the extra month and a half could help us make a better choice as to who we pick, but if we end up picking the same guy a month and a half from now as we would have picked right now, and he is a relief pitcher, why wait?

The guys numbers are not that impressive in terms of ERA. Was he really the best we could get?

It's pretty clear the Tribe's upper level minor league pitching is just as bad as Tribe's itself. I think it is time for the Tribe to get their best hitters and pitchers and put them all together at Akron. The AAA team can be left with guys who are just filler.

I think it would be better to have all the prospects on a competitive team than for them to play on losers at several levels in the origanization.

So Roto you think players can make the jump from AA to the majors without stopping at AAA?
