Scott sent an email to me today saying that he's not willing to continue putting players back onto rosters when people cut guaranteed contracts.
In order to keep guaranteed contracts in the league we simply have to have people abide by the rules on their own. I understand that some cuts were due to confusion or misunderstandings, but if we can't correct the problems ourselves, then we can't keep the rule.
If an owner releases a player who has a guaranteed contract, here's what we'll have to do:
1. The player will have to be resigned by the owner who cut him from the FA list. This may require a bonus to achieve the old contract. If the player has been trained extensively, replicating the old contract may be impossible.
2. Everyone else will have to pay attention and forgo bidding on the released player. In this last round of errors, two players who were illegally cut were signed by different teams. If someone does bid for a player he shouldn't have, he'll have to cut him and lose whatever bonus he offered, if any. There's simply no way around this. Scott will not give back cash to make up a bonus that was paid to sign a player.
This league is intended to be different, however this can only work if people abide by the rules we've made.

I agree as well. Would it be acceptable to pay the higher salary than offer a bonus?
