I had the same problem with Ed!son and the new MicroEdit.
I solved it by unpacking the downloaded files (these files are self-extracting archives that execute the install program automatically, I could unpack ?em with the freeware tool Easy Zip) before installing.
No more error messages.
Hope This helps you,
Philipp

Guess what I did - installed in my own directory of choice, which failed.
Then installed in a completely empty C:\EWS64 I believe, then moved the files over to my directory of choice. Running smooth now - it still crashes, but at least it clears the EWS RAM it's used allowing one to easily reenter.

Indeed there was a wrong version on the SCP for a short while (sorry for this), or better: we forgot to update the link to the right file. TT has the nasty habit of using completely different file names for subsequent versions of a program. But we repaired the link quite some time ago already, so now you can safely download it from our site as well (but of course you already have it by now :-)
Always warn us please when you find these kind of errors. We're only human (although sometimes it doesn't feel like that) and mirror the files because we think it's faster for non-european users.
Best regards to you all,
Arnoud.

So you did install it (Start menu wise) to \Ed!son ??
That worked for me but only if I didn't install using the exe supplied by Terratec.
I used the files which were extracted to my Temp folder. Funny thing.

Me, too.
The signal routing under Win2k is quite unclear to me. I got myself all the information on Win9x with graphics and explanation but as the ControlCenter looks totally different under 2k I have problems especially on getting something recorded with Logic Audio :-((
