    Question

I bought EWS64S recently. When compared to old AWE32 (which I also have), the interpolation/anti-alias filter seems to be rather bad. I compared sample playbacks (two octaves below original pitch) of EWS64S, AWE32 and a software that did not use anti-alias filter, and I must say that AWE32 sounded smoothest.

I have already complained about this problem to TerraTec Tech Support, and they could not resolve it. So I sent the card to Germany, and they didn't find any errors.

Could anyone tell how good EWS64 interpolation should be?

I am also experiencing annoying clicks during fast panning. Have others experienced this too?

    Unhappy

(clicking) With what software? With CW there wasn't any clicking (at synth/MIDI). However, try this:

When doing fast pans, don't pan in FULL range. Left few steps to both ends, so card doesn't drop volumes to full zero in L or R channel.
