I?ve a EWS64XL and the latest drivers installed (Windows ME)but Cubase isn?t able to use the MME-Codec-Device drivers (Errorcode FF9-5-0044[8878000a]). It always brings the message : Can?t open Device !
Anybody Any Solutions ? Mail me please !

hi,
i has similar problem:
Does codec record work using other programs and do you register a signal with the vu meter in EWS control panel???
if so - i cant help...
b)if not - (codec just doesnt want to work, even though it appears ok in system/devices) then try using a different motherboard.
I swapped and min works perfectly.

Hi!
I opinion is that. Stay away from Win98ME.
Everytimes when i restart my computer "it's
fasten then 98se because is has to be":-) Digital control doesn't work, set manager doesn't work, Cubase crash all the time. Great!Now i use again Win98SE NO PROBLEM!
Recommend to all with EWS64XL or S.
