Sorry to say I had problems: it installed OK, no conflicts a wave player or winamp seems fine but no sound .. I tried EVERYTHING: Defined different IRQ's, tried unmute.exe ... everything .. still no sound .. On my ABIT BE6-II I had no probs.
It seems that the 200 mhz FSB spoils things for the ews..
I'm rather curious if ne1 did get an ews64 to run propperly ... If so please tell me exactly how...

I'm sure a lot of people would like to buy a faster/newer mainboard soon. Maybe we can make a list of new mainboards with ISA that are working allright or not allright?
May I have your votes please....

MSI 6163 pro is OK, but not really new. Anyway, it?s interesting for owners of more than one EWS 64 because of its two ISA slots.
Greetings, Philipp

I just set a new PC based on a Abit Kt7Raid and a 900 Mhz Athlon TBird @ 1000 Mhz. My EWS 64XL works flawlessly. No IRQ conflicts (just a little tweaking). In WindowsMe I have set 2 hardware profiles, one with Codec disabled (for music) and another with Codec enabled (for video, TV, WWW...)...RUNS OK !!

So, thanks for all answers, after this discussion I have bought Abit K7 Raid + 900Mhz Athlon. It works perfectly, I just had to change irq for codec in terratec eeprom, cause it was used by raid controller. Now, i use terratec with cubase 5, and with REASON! Oh man thats GREAT!!! )) NO latency. GREAT!

zappucco, have you tried using win98 with your setup? I have been thinking of getting the same board but I am still using win98.

Abit KT7 Raid works perfectly with EWS64 under Win98 and WinMe
