Terratec can't read my external Keyboard

I have a small problem with the EWS, i can't seem to get any sound from the keyboard and i also tried my mates one too. The way i have it set-up a the moment is, the midi out from the keyboard to the midi in on EWS, start a program called Evolution what came with my keyboard, when i select a channel i can play the on screen keyboard but not the external.

please help, it's driving me crazy.

I don't know Evolution, so just a shot in the dark here:
- Did you select the right midi-in port within Evolution?
- Did you already try the Midi-2 of the EWS (provided you enabled this port)?
