Use a small Mantaray 931 (1500 Hz XO) or MR 94 (1200 Hz) if you can find any or go vintage with the 811 (800 Hz).
I may be getting a pair of 12" Duplex's. Unfortunately, they are bare drivers, no cabinet, and no horn. I can build cabinets of some sort.... probably something basic. However, I need a horn. I assume the originals were similar to the horns in my single 9864-8a that attach to the cabinet. I see GPA builds a 212 Duplex with a much smaller horn on the HF section. In their FAQ, they state they won't sell part, However.
Any ideas what I could do for a HF horn?

You may want to contact this guy on eBay I think he makes horns from scratch... I don't know him I just found on eBay so do your due diligence... Maybe worth a look. Here is another set a little cheaper at $100 bucks.

I found those too. I was hoping he had one that would bolt directly. That market is probably too small.
Unfortunately I didn't get the speakers. It was a local-ish auction, and I thought I might be alone in my pursuit, but apparently several other people knew what they were looking at, too. I'll simply wait until I find whole units again.

I saw those, too. The price seemed crazy to me, but I also haven't been audio "shopping" for quite some time, so I wasn't sure.

Bill @ GPA was selling those MR931-12's for 25 bucks ea.
Of course, that might have been 10 years ago at this point.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
I doubt if the small Mantaray or the 604 horn will fit. The Engine uses a large format driver.
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
Oops! Thanks! Don't recall ever being exposed to the 'Engine' and Googling at a glance just returns pictures of a different HF driver I didn't recognize either, though this time around I found it's GPA's new 288, so definitely only the large format Mantarays will work and apparently only for 300, 500 HZ XOs.
