Am looking for an Altec Lansing specialist who can repair/modify an old 1570B tube amp. Would prefer someone in Northern California, the Bay Area, but would ship as well.

    Can anyone make a recommendation?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    chrialex

ps don't forget that lethal voltages exist therein.
the usual cautions for such should be observed.
and competent ham radio guy should be able to help.

you can do it! the only thing a wee bit tricky is the power to the 6w6 drivers. it is a full wave voltage doubler the negative side of which has a resister to ground developing by cathode current, the grid bias for the driver stage. the only other thing is the power transformer. with 5v windings at the end of the hv winding for part of the bridge rectifier. other than that it should be a slam dunk.
