<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Depends on the driver and/or desired power handling capability, i.e. the later drivers don't load it nearly as well all the way down as the older 800 series drivers, so can sound harsh and potentially bottom out. It's the price paid to increase its HF BW, power handling. Not many 'free lunches' in audio speaker design. Also, a higher XO point is an easy (read 'cheap') way to reduce its inherent CD horn 'honk'.Originally posted by Dave H.:
