Maybe some one here can help me. I had my Altec 1269 Amplifier stolen by some movers and the moving company is giving me grief about replacement value of the amplifier. Does anyone have original specification sheets (so I can get information for a comparable replacement amplifier) and any original selling information. I bought this amp back when I was in college (late 80s) and don't have original receipts. I saw the spec sheets in the archive for the 1270 but I know the 1269 is a bit different. Thanks.

Don't go by what it cost new. As with many older Altec equipment the value may have gone up.
Try E-Bay or other such places and try to get some information if that same unit sold there and what the price it sold for was.

Thanks for the spec sheet. I haven't been able to find one on Ebay or other sources yet to gauge pricing. I miss that amp. I would like to cut off the fingers of the dirt bag(s) who decided my equipment would be nice in their home.

Since these amps are obviously no longer made I'd get pricing of a comperable NEW amp from somebody like Crown.

I'd choose a QSC amp, if I were you...
