Hi GM
I changed my avatar. I thought it would only effect the new post but, it changes all the posts, current and past. I will change it back after posting this note.

My old avatar is back.... There simply is NO CUSTOM in my drop down menue. If you look at your profile, without changing the avatar picture, open the avatar drop down menue, does your's show the word "custom"? If it does, where is it located? When I open mine the first one listed is "none" followed by a line "-------" then "1015booptee", then "1015booptee2" etc.

As for subs for my home and SR systems, I think the first thing I'm going to do is dig out one or more of the custom ServoDrive units and give them a try. They are already bought and paid for and just packed away in my garage. Since my budget is tight, I think that's the smartest thing for me to do. If they don't work to my satisfaction, I'll try another "affordable" option.

Why the 'shouting'? Your caps lock button broke?
I'm not very computer literate, so don't have a clue about how different operating systems handle the various forum software designs. FWIW, I have XP pro and use Mozilla Firefox. I tried a variety of file extensions and the only difference I noted was how the pic is scaled, though I don't know if that was the reason or a function of the forum software. Tall pics get squashed and vice versa. The current one is a jpg.
When I click on the drop down menu, its between 'none' and the line:
Nothing I tried would make the word 'custom' disappear (other than moving the scroll bar down of course), so don't have a clue why it would be missing in your menu. Seems like you would either see them all or the drop down wouldn't function.

Bummer, makes no sense to me. Post a query here about your problem:

Hi GM
Sorry about the cap lock. My goal was to make my response to your text stand out. I didn't mean to shout.
The picture you show isn't what I get. Where you have "Custom" I have nothing but the line. I just tried it again, only this time I was intentional with my cursor and started with "none" then moved it down hoping there would be a blank space I could click on but, there wasn't. It went from "none" to "--------" to "1015 booptee", no "custom" like it shows in your picture or blank space I could try clicking on. How disappointing.

I'm playing with these.

I built a couple prototypes from scrap wood. They work.
Certain amount of PT Barnum at work, but as I say, was surprised with the results.
Most Altecs have too low a resonance for these. I intended to try 515 GHP's but just never got around to it.

Yeah, with the advent of digital delay, long, coiled up bass-horns could now be used, so Tom Danley didn't waste any time unleashing his ServoDrive BT-7, and later, his freebie woofer design LABhorn that has been adapted by many for different drivers.

Tom Danley is one sharp cookie. Never met him in person, have had a couple conversations on the net.

Indeed he is! I had to miss his few summer BBQs c-u-m horn auditions up at his home in Illinois, but his factory is only ~45 mins north of me in the self proclaimed (and maybe actual) 'chicken capitol of the world', so if all goes well, I'll meet him there the next time he comes down. In the meantime, he's offered to let me see his latest secret project, so looking forward to this: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/showt...65#post1115465
