Help with enclosure for altec 803a

I've looked at plans for the altec model 19 and a7 and they seem too complex/expensive. Is there an enclosure that would be simpler and less expensive to have someone build that would sound good? I've searched for Thiele-Small specs on these drivers with none to be found. So what size enclosure would I need? Anyone done this before? I would mount the 811B horn with 802c driver on top. Thanks.

What model is your woofer?

You need this info to determine: HORN, HORN REFLEX,or just BASS REFLEX.

I can't offer any help other than this: Free air resonance for the 803a is 45hz. The Altec Speaker Enclosure file on the board is a generation newer than mine. The 803a and 803b do not appear there. Hope this helps a little.

The only information on the back of the woofer is 803A with a 16 ohm impedence. Is 803A not the model number?

The woofer and horn were mounted in a built-in cabinet on the wall of an older gentleman's living room when his house was built in the 1950's. His jazz lp's sounded sublime in this mono setup and I want to duplicate that. I don't need the optimum box. Just something that will sound good.

The 803A works in a wide range of cab sizes depending on how much output impedance the amp has, though the 612 reflex (Iconic) and 825 combo horn reflex (A7) were the two standards.

Anyway, here's a composite set of specs from several measured units:

Fs = 56.15 Hz
Qes = 0.216
Qms = 2.325
Qts = 0.197
Vas = 234.428 L
Re = 8.058 ohms
Le = 1.479 mH
Sd = 849.79 cm^^2
BL = 21.79 N/A
Sens = 101.69 dB/2.828V/m
