    Steve,
Why don't you build the center channel cabinet at the same time you build your horn loaded surround cabinets? I don't know why your putting it off. The insanity never ends.

In case you havn't noticed this pair of 825s.

Local only, just out of Chi-town, ~200 mi from Indy. No affilliation.

Looks like another pair of 800Hz boxes, but easy enough to sub a new 500Hz baffle and save the original. ClassicComics needs one in Marietta.

I was just reminiscing...30 yrs ago, a guy could just swing by the pool hall on a Friday night and holler "Road Trip"... forums ...The "scenic route" would win by popular demand (and common sense), even though you piled in the van in the middle of the night. $40 gas and $50 beer would last the weekend. Come Monday, you'd have a headache and some Altecs...maybe even a new girlfriend... forums

Try that today, and you could end up on all fours, barkin' like a dog at Gitmo...then again, you might find yourself on the road to the White House... forums

Yeah, well I think splitting up a pair makes sense. The only thing is I don't want the drivers...just a beat up cab..be nice if it was voiced for the 511 and just needed repair work. A third 511e would be nice with a few gpa drivers to complete the picture. Thanks for the heads up.

    Road trip...no prob....

Hey, are the horns on these 825s 511s or 811s?

They might be tuff to redesign grills for Steve.

I never liked that particular cabinet design because of the grills that always made them look as though they would fall flat on their faces!

I think if I had them, I might veneer the fronts to cover construction and either leave grills out completely or just use a nice mesh cover for protection like I did here.

    ...it's pretty close nonetheless...
The back piece is a part of a desktop equipment rack I took apart. It will be replaced with a hollow iron pipe that I'm gonna fish the mid range wires out. The pipe will have some kinda tuning fork shaped piece on top that'll allow for a little adjustment if needed in positioning the angle...if for nothing but to get perfectly level.
