This Aussie band is memorable to me. I can attribute my tinnitus to them being the loudest band in the country at the time.

If you like it, Part 1 is also on YouTube.
Cheers, Marshall.
Yeah, they were cut on a portable aluminum disk machine, under...well...less than ideal conditions. The Library of Congress is/will be releasing a large part of the collection on CD. Coming soon to a library near you.
Rhapsody has some free samples of Angola Prisoners Blues;

Here's a man who has been 'discovered' in his 60's. YouTube - Seasick Steve - Walking Man - Reading 2008
Jools Holland saw Steve playing at the Australian East Coast Blues Festival and put him on the Live On Jools Holland show in the U.K.
YouTube - NME Video: Seasick Steve at Glastonbury 2008
He is playing at The Corner Hotel in Richmond(Melbourne), on April 13, while he is over here for this years blues festival at Easter.

I just learned a neat new way to browse YouTube vids (thanks CNET!).
Pick a YT video of interest.
In the URL, replace the word "watch" with "warp.swf".
Hit Enter. Explore.
An example, if you started with the "First Electrical Process Record...1925", the altered URL gives you this;

Good tip, Bfish.
Now, if only there was a translator for foreign language clips, for example this one;

This guy uses vintage Altecs. The clip gets intersting after the first minute or so.
Marshall,
Who is this guy?

Translation? Barbara Lee via Tung Sol give Sakuma inner smile.
"that guy" is subjective Sakuma, the Hugh Hefner of audiophilia;

For anyone that's had their fill of Rush & The HateMongers, Yusuf (aka Cat Stevens) has a new album that's a welcome respite.
