    Re: OT. Other forums have a Music tread.

    Having not heard my M500s in a while, I cruised over to my fishin’ buddy’s garage this morning. Stopped on the way for a copy of Levon Helm’s new release, Electric Dirt. Since I hate flowery reviews I’ll spare you, but I’m biting my tongue. I’ll just say that it put me where I needed to be, a place I haven’t been for far too long.

    Edit: Can't seem to correct the double link. Sorry...

    Long Live Levon!

    Watched and listened to it all. WOW! Gotta get a copy.

    In the meantime listened to Timeless, the Hank Williams tribute CD. Another Wow.

    In the process, came across the Tour of Duty and Best of Tour of Duty CDs. Listened with the help of a bottle of Scotch. Aaahh, nostalgia. Are there any other 'Tour' CDs?

    They call me Mellow Fella, Marshall.

    Then you'd enjoy this book;

    From Levon's Arkansas delta "King Biscuit" childhood, to The Hawks Canada gigs with Ronnie Hawkins, to Big Pink, the Basement Tapes, touring with Dylan, The Last Waltz, and beyond. Highly recommend!

    Clapton/Wiwood performamce at Izod NJ was good, unfortunately the accustics really blow. The equipment - 84 cabs with twin 15" and large compression drivers seemed more than adequate but the sound bounced around so bad you could not recognize any vocals.

    Chicago at Bethel NY was excellent sound.

    Bfish, I saw TWO. The panel says Bell(I think). Could they be SE 6V6, though I can't see the OT? The PT is generous for a pre-amp.

    Good eyes. There are 2, and yeah, they're Bells. Have to dig out my old Sams, they should be there.

    Added;
    That was easy enough, Bell 2122s. 6SL7GT inverter visible, pair of 6V6s hiding behind the PT. (tiny) OPT under the hood. A snip here and a little smoke there, and it's a Fender Tweed 5E3 circuit (just like my suitcase amp).

    The Bfish Deluxe for the travellin' man.

    I am enjoying this at the moment Free Music, Listen to Music Free.

    2CD 2009 release, possibly Australia only. Purchased it for US$10 at my local music store.

    Cheers, Marshall.

    Here is a video produced by students of UQUAM in Montreal . It's very seamless and took only 2 hrs to do in one shoot or one take.. It's a lip sync of I've got a feeling. It was viewed 2 million times.
