Thanks! So Volvo-H had it right. Yeah, I could try that. Will see what I can get to fit in there.

Well, maybe. I feel like I'm getting lost somewhere along the way. About ready to buy a tickeet to Paris to go hear and mesure Jean Hiraga's A5s. They are my target, so I need a refresher course.

Can you call him ? Or is it you have to do a lot of measuring while there ?

    Re: Further port tuning

Since we are using different drivers and a somewhat different horn, I may simply not be able to reach the target. But it would be great to go back and listen to them again, after 20 years. I'd measure like crazy, too, to have a reference on paper. Kinda extreme, but sometimes that is what it takes. I knew those speakers well, and used them in a lot of different spaces. All of the bigger than my listening room, tho. That may also have a lot to do with it.

    Re: Further port tuning

Yes John, AFAIK they are still set up and THE reference speaker in France. They are still at the offices of the Revue du Son. I feel quite happy about that because I championed them quite a bit - I thought to little effect. But that fact that they are still a reference all these years later says that the guys must have really listened to them, and have been won over. Don't know if they ever really listened to me.

    Dear Pano,

La Revue du Son doesn't exist anymore. They ceased publication in November 2009. I will ask if somebody knows what happen with the A5 and report back to you on this forum.

    Best regards,

    Dominique
