seems like everyone on here has something to say about everything but no one can help me with the question of how much my speakers are worth? Not even a ball park answer. So let me ask in another way, are the 500's worth more than the other A7's and if so how much?
What is the driver load? Recones? Correct diaphragms?
What networks? Stock? New caps?
Which model and revision are the cabinets? How's the paint, corners edges, decals?
What condition condition condition?
Do you know their history?
A7's that toured with a rock band aren't gonna have the same value as a pair just removed from the theater where they were originally installed.
Based on the info given in your first post the value could be anywhere from less than 300 to more than 3000.

Hi Badtoby,Everyone is Not ignoring your post.Bowtie hit the nail on the head.They could of had differant drivers installed at one point.If others had a more detailed description you would get a quicker response as they could of had a Zillion differant combinations Horns,Drivers,XO's, etc...If you can find out what is exactly in them and post a few pics would go along way in helping you to determine that.By the way :welcome: to the board. Welcome to the forum. All of the above is true as I found out when I restored my A7's. Pictures, component identification, and condition is a must. The A7 is a system. It all depends on what you have in your A7 system.
Answer the above questions and these guys can give you a range of "perceived" value. Remember, they are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. They are a fine system and in good condition can go for quite a bit if someone really wants them. Plus they can be restored to like new condition pretty easily.
If you have a nice pair you are one of the fortunate ones. Many people build them from plans found on the web. All the necessary parts are available. Originals are worth more than DIY ones depending on condition.
Remember, they may be worth more to you than someone who does not appreciate them.

Since they are generally speaking 'too big to ship', some semblance of your location will assist in pricing as well, and might even generate interest from a member if in your area.
(though sales should be kept to the sale page, outlined by Todd's sticky thread on the main page)
i.e. If you're selling in NYC metro, they'd probably fetch much more than if you're in Yellowknife.
If planning for insurance purposes, then I think you'd go with the higher of the estimates of course, for 'replacement' value.
