Please some advice on my onken cabinet build with altec 416b woofers

Have not built these as of present though I have had my hands on some cabinet speaker work with a veteran and the first thing I learned is no SCREWS! Dowels yes, screws to get in place then pull after glue dries. Screws are an evil resonant factor. No doubt I will piss some of you off but this is what I learned from a master speaker cabinet builder so please do not take offense just passing that along.:lollipop:

It's true that they create high resonance 'hot spots', same as a rigid glue joint, but I've yet to hear or read of someone that could tell the difference between an all clamped/glued cab Vs glued/screwed, so in the scheme of things it seems reasonable to me that only cabs used for portable apps where it might get slammed/dropped needs to have an all clamped/glued construction since mechanical fasteners weaken its structural integrity.
