FS: Model 15 Woofers and Other Parts
Pair of Model 15 Woofers, refoamed a few years ago by the previous owner. These work and play as they should, front and rear gaskets are complete. Glue job on one refoam isn't as pretty as the other, see pics. Getting harder to find these. $225.00 + shipping(lower 48 preferred)

Value of Vintage Altec 844A Monitors w/ N-1500A Crossovers
Hi all,
Forgive my complete ignorance of vintage Altecs, know my total deference to your knowledge of them, and accept my sincere gratitude for your help.
I'm looking to find a good home for a pair of Altec 844A monitors, each with N-1500A crossovers. The problem is, I know next to nothing about them or what they're worth. The crossovers are apparently not the stock N-800s; I don't know how significantly that that affects their value.
I'm not looking to squeeze top dollar out of somebody for these--I actually want to be reasonable and find them a good home. On the other hand, I don't want someone to prey on my ignorance and buy them from me, only to turn around and effortlessly resell for a tidy profit.
I've attached a couple of pictures so you get an idea of what I have. I can see why you're all Altec enthusiasts--these monitors sound absolutely incredible! But alas, I don't want them to languish in my basement unplayed--they beg to be used.
I really appreciate your help.

Altec Model 19 clones in Russain Birch pkywood cabs
PENDING SALE,on Canuck Audio Mart....
.....for sale & or partial trade are my cherished Altec Model 19's with all original Altec components except the crossovers, which are cloned stock original, with new components, recent Solen Fast caps added.
Housed in Russian Birch cabs made from original Altec "!9" plans sourced from a site gentleman years ago who gave out the plans to worthy folk.I apologize I've forgotten is name.He may have passed too,my respects if this is the case.
I have over $1550.00 invested in components,as I paid $850.00pr,Altec 1975 416-8 in 16 inch Aluminum frames designed to be mounted from outside of the cabs.
$300.00 pr of 811 Altec horns,$400.00pr for 806-8A compression drivers with the tangerine phase plugs.
It cost me $400.00 for the Russian Birch plywood, and a carpenter friend to cut/drill/glue/screw/partially assemble.
I finished assembly to assure securing permanently the horn cab to woofer cab, however cabs are still unfinished.I work lots and Listen in my spare time.Rear of cabs are removable.
Crossovers are inside, casters have been mounted behind bottom kick-boards for ease of positioning, vacuuming, moving, etc.
I'm asking $1250.00,but as part trades I need a metal-n-wood 5-6 shelf stereo stand,(Target etc.?)due to my downsizing, future retirement which also has prompted me to sell the Altecs.
I would also consider a part trade of a pr of D.I.Y properly executed Frugal Horns MKIII,preferably unfinished,or even un-assembled flat pack,with/without drivers.
I do not wish to part out the components out as it took me almost 2 years to bring them all together.
I would prefer cash, but I'm open to partial trades, don't wish to ship, nor transport,as I'm not even sure I can fit even one in my car?
Their dimensions are as per originals,19 in deep,30 in wide and 39.5 high, including bottom kick boards and casters.
I currently power with Eico ST-70 tube amp 35 watts and Rotel 100 watt integrated, watching primarily dvd concerts, then cd and Vinyl, both amps sound good to me.
Pics on Canuck audio mart..
I'm located in London Ontario,519-668-1999,Happy Listening,Kenny.
