I have a pair of Altec 17/604-8G for sale in Greater Vancouver BC. Drivers work perfect cabs are a 7/10 and could use some tlc. Price is negotiable. I won't ship pickup and or meet within a reasonable distance.

Are you still looking for 3182's? Your post is old, but I thought I would ask. I have 3, all jsut rebuilt by GPA and never used or mounted, stored carefully in a warm dry cabinet. Two are the newer cone design - accordian surrounds, and the third has the foam surround. I am going to post them soon on the for sale area.

Some stuff for sale, A7 Pair cabs are solid the LF drivers are not original but the HF Drivers are.I will throw in the original 421 speakers.one is blown and the other is not far behind.Crossovers are original.I think I have 2 more 511 horns and 2 more 808 drivers that will be included $700.00

requires DC power supplies to power the coils, approx. 12Vdc @1.5A LF & 12Vdc @2.1A HF
no crossovers but will include a pair of N604-8A for an extra $50, Shindo-like crossover schematics and parts also available.

UREI HF horn as used in GPA 604-8H-III driver, newer style 16" cast basket. Refer pictures.
perfect condition, no voice coil rubs, perfect cones, unmarked baskets & amazing drivers - selling only due to "upgrade" to FC 515+288 2-way combo.

Speakerlab's version of Klipschorns;Each speaker is equipped as follows:
Altec Lansing 806A driver with Altec 811B sectoral horn
JBL 2405 slot tweeter mounted on the outside edge of the horn
15-inch bass driver with Speakerlab sticker on the magnet
Speakerlab crossover with tweeter and midrange controls
The cabinets are identical to Klipschorns, down to the internal bracing and side boards.
The horn tops are not fixed; they are separate and removable.

I have connected an amp to these speakers and I must admit, they sound better than the klipschorns I had 30 years ago.
The Altec's with the JBL tweeter sound incredible.
I regret having to sell these gems, but I live in a condo and just don't have the room for maximum enjoyment.
Sorry for the dust and dirt; they have been in storage for some time.

Price $1400 ; no trades.

I have a 604 for sale and a couple crossovers. (The broken 604D is gone)

In detail:
604: Frame is in great condition, but a few cracks in the original woofer cone near the circumference. Impedances read out nicely; see pictures. I have some kind of crossover for it but it's not original, even though it is crossed at 1khz (which is correct). Not sure what to ask for this, so let me know if you want to recommend a price as an impartial 3rd party. Here are pics:

make an offer for the N1000B crossover or the other non-altec 1khz dividing network.

It is in a zip-tied garbage bag screwed to one side of a purpose-built crate. Once again, see pictures. I can take paypal, but price must be adjusted accordingly.

FS: Altec Model 19 oak finish $1000 per pair
These speakers are in good condition with new foam around the horn. One LF driver was re-coned at Great Plains Audio.
In view of the size of these speakers, they are for local pick-up but would consider meeting someone if their driving distance is over 200 miles from Hickory, NC
