I wasn't able to easily, no. Not enough difference between them. I'll have another shot at it this PM.
Pano, Is there any way to increase the contrast between the brown wood and black lines in the photo you posted? If so I should be able to fix up the line drawing to match.

Here is a black and white scan from an old lit sheet. Dunno if helps.

Definitely water slide. With a jewelers loupe, I can see the edges of the film where it is chipped away.
Is two color silkscreen like that even possible?
Here's one with a white background. Lost most of the black outline though. Needs a bit of pixel by pixel cleanup but good for an idea.altecdecalwht.jpg
What I’m seeing is that the photographs are slightly distorted. Unless someone can get a dead square and centered photo we will be dealing with that. It might be best to pick a scan that looks right. Looking back through literature scans it seem that logo evolved over time. The version I posted originally is from the 49 catalog. The logo in the 45 duplex catalog looks closer to me but to tell the truth I never really noticed a difference before.
Does look like there were some changes. The version Old Guy posted is nice. OG, got a larger version of that?
That was an actual size scan from a piece of lit, from around 1950. Unfortunately didn't have access to my home scanner had to do it on theirs. A re-sample starts to look pretty crappy.
here is a place to get water decal paper. Wondering how a color laser at FedEx Kinko's could do?
