Looking good!
I'm in as well ! You know I think the difference in the color was for the different color veneers on the cabs. Dark color cabs got the gold and light color cabs the silver.Dunno what ya guys think ? I like the look of the gold ones better, but I tend to have light colored cabs (Oak).
BTW Nice job Martyh45 ! Looks spot on to me !
Looking good!
personnally, i think the water slide is more period correct. if this is the case, i'll take 2 dozen

The lettering in the bar is giving me fits. It is close to Arial bold italic but the letters need to be individually stretched and placed and even then it is not perfect. I’m thinking the best option is to just do it as a drawing but to do that I would need the picture from Geekstar’s post (#14) cropped down to the bar and cleaned up a bit. Can anybody with better photo editing software give that a shot? I don’t have any experience editing photos but I think less colors are better for my system. I guess that depends on how badly it gets distorted. I’m plunking all of this into autocad and my old system is having trouble dealing with the big files that result.
Marty is this any help?
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
I'll get a hi-res photo of the lettering and clean it up. I only posted the pic in #14 for discussion, saved for web.
I have a full resolution version but I'll need your email address via PM, Marty.
Unfortunately my cat knocked my Nikon SLR off the counter last month so all I have is a $100 Canon point-n-shoot. Got serious macro lenses for the Nikon.
Hard to get the effect of a skilled artist's hand lettering using digital fonts!
I took the liberty of blowing up the lower banner.. I don't know if it will help. But here it is .
How many decals are we talking about here.FWIW I think we need to take an account of how many decals we want.As it will help determine if it is worth someones time to do them for us... The water slide paper isn't cheap either..
If we have enough Interest for a couple hundred or more than we should have no problem.I'm going to ask Rudy to take a look at this thread. And get his opinion. If he doesn't want to do them then we may have to get with the guy that Pano suggested or elsewhere...
Before Marty does too much work I personally would like to have a printer lined up before hand or this could all be for naught ! Need some opinions here guys what do ya think ?
Here's a somewhat cleaned up version of the 'bar." My mouse is incapable of making a straight line or a neat curve, so the last two letters need some work!
I have this in full rez if needed.
As I mentioned above, the proper printer is an Alps opaque ink printer. Maybe there is something else in the two years since I researched this, but that is what guys making decals for models etc were using.
Lettering was fuzzy and speckled or damaged here and there. Standard photoshop cleanup practice. Easy to fix that in Illustrator anyway, which I do not have on my machine.
I am a bit rusty on photoshop but either this mouse sucks or I destroyed my motor coordination with beer and caffeine! Maybe both!
I have the jpg if anybody else wants to take a whack at it.
EDIT: Here's a better version ...I cut and pasted "O" and "N" from elsewhere in the lettering rather than fixing the last two.
Shoulda done that from the start...
