Does he do just vinyl or the old water-slide type decals? We'd have to decide what we want. I'm in if there is a G.B. I'd prefer the old water-slide type.

Anything and everything ! And his work is Top-Notch.Put it this way Pano you won't be able to tell the difference they are that good..

Here's some stuff from Rudy's eBay store. http://www.ebay.com/sch/sign--shop/m...&_trksid=p3686

But to be accurate we would need the dimensions of the decal so he can make to scale.Does anyone here have a cab with that decal ?

OK guys I sent Rudy an email and he said to post it.He already has them made. Here is his reply to my email.

Thank you for the email. Nice to hear from you.

YES I do make the small gold/black Altec cabinet labels.
Actually I make about all labels and foilcals

I do pressure sensitive 1 mm thick. You can spray or brush a clear coat on the top, if you want to.

I shipped a #100 to Russia, and #50 to a dealer in California.

    Please let me know....
    Please post.

    Regards, r.j

These came on the Melodist,820A,605A,612's,and maybe a couple other Altec cabs but all from the 40's to the early 60's I think. Not 100% sure..

Does anyone have a nice, clean file of that? Maybe Todd does? I can work on cleaning it up in Photoshop to make it print ready (I used to be a printer). Be nice to know if there is a reference color for the letters, Pantone or other. Also, how big should it be?

EDIT: Oops! Sorry, I missed the posts above.

    Re: "Very Vintage Altec Speaker"?

I took the liberty of blowing up the lower banner.. I don't know if it will help. But here it is .

How many decals are we talking about here.FWIW I think we need to take an account of how many decals we want.As it will help determine if it is worth someones time to do them for us... The water slide paper isn't cheap either..

If we have enough Interest for a couple hundred or more than we should have no problem.I'm going to ask Rudy to take a look at this thread. And get his opinion. If he doesn't want to do them then we may have to get with the guy that Pano suggested or elsewhere...

Before Marty does too much work I personally would like to have a printer lined up before hand or this could all be for naught ! Need some opinions here guys what do ya think ?

    Re: "Very Vintage Altec Speaker"?

Here's a somewhat cleaned up version of the 'bar." My mouse is incapable of making a straight line or a neat curve, so the last two letters need some work!

I have this in full rez if needed.

As I mentioned above, the proper printer is an Alps opaque ink printer. Maybe there is something else in the two years since I researched this, but that is what guys making decals for models etc were using.

Glad to hear they're 1mm thick, they'll be easy to spot!!! I'm with Pano on the water slide type decals.
