Hello! Hope everyone's thanksgiving was great. Had a question asked by a friend that I could not answer myself. He recently picked up an older 515 that originally had a the phenolic spider but it was later reconed with a 515b cone. He wanted to know about the 4 posts that secure the spider to the assembly itself. He was in the process of tracking down a spider but wasnt sure how it was fastened?? Any help as to the sizes, explanation, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Are they screws with machine heads on top? He hasn't taken the 515b cone off so we are clueless what he would need to secure the spider at the time of reconing. Wish someone had a picture. Sorry of this doesn't make much sense as this is really hard to explain without pictures.
Well, dove right in...Spoke to Bill at GPA and he helped a great bit. So hats off to bill. Actual measurements are 5/32's. Figured I throw up pics for posterity.
