    Question regarding 515 phenolic spider

Hello! Hope everyone's thanksgiving was great. Had a question asked by a friend that I could not answer myself. He recently picked up an older 515 that originally had a the phenolic spider but it was later reconed with a 515b cone. He wanted to know about the 4 posts that secure the spider to the assembly itself. He was in the process of tracking down a spider but wasnt sure how it was fastened?? Any help as to the sizes, explanation, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I would think it needs to go in during the reconing process.

Yes they need to go in at time of reconing. So if he does track down a viable spider,he would have to recone it again..

I saw remakes of the spiders on ebay I think, but they were in a kit.

Re: Question regarding 515 phenolic spider

Are they screws with machine heads on top? He hasn't taken the 515b cone off so we are clueless what he would need to secure the spider at the time of reconing. Wish someone had a picture. Sorry of this doesn't make much sense as this is really hard to explain without pictures.

Yep, those screws. Anyone have the thread size? Pictures of them not inserted and fastened? Just on their own
