What motor is on the 3154? Can those be reconed with 8 ohm VCs ?

AKAIK, they are only 8 ohm. In the GPA version the motor uses a fairly small 48oz ferrite. But, with 1.56 inches of peak to peak excursion i'm guessing the magnetic gap is deep/wide.

Sadly, it seems the altecpro site is finally gone, and my cd-rom drive is jammed up so i cannot access the Altec data sheet for the 3154.

EDIT: found a spec sheet, and as we could probably assume it's faithfully identical to the GPA version, or rather vice versa.
