i started a basic enclosure. this is my first time using bisquits for added strength. i plan on adding a foam surround like the model 19s. i also have some nice uerathane foam to place against the horn to dampen it.
after looking at pic with the enclosure on top. i'm not sure if i should get labels the say Altec or Kelvinater for it.

the simple enclosures are ready for a final sanding and finishing. the top and bottom panels are inlaid with some interesting plywood i found. the 8" hole in the back is access for the driver. i like the idea of being able get to driver without taking everthing apart. the other hole is for a crossover.

This is just my opinion, but I would fill in the void between the horn and the wood case; top and bottom and belt sand to fit. And do the same on the sides also. Looks good otherwise.

i'm still fixing little things. i didn't like the way the ports look. i recessed the bottom panels so i could add covers. i'm thinking of stenciling the altec logo on them.

i finally added the maestro logo. i've been meaning to do this for a while and just got around to making a stencil.

They look great - how do they sound? Love the maestro there in the middle. It screams ALTEC!
they sound pretty good. least i like them. i haven't checked them with an analyzer but i would bet the bass goes lower than 50hz. im thinking of making a stencil of the AltecOriginally Posted by mattvandyke
