Mystery Driver out of Altec 9864A Cabinet

I found two Altec Lansing Model 9864A Duplex systems for sale nearby, and decided to pick them up. One was destroyed from being dropped, presumably from the ceiling it was mounted to, and the other was near perfect. I pulled the driver out of the broken one, it is in great working condition, but I've got no clue what it is. Attached at pictures. It is a 16" driver, with a 1.4" throat for the large horn pictured.

Can anyone identify what the driver is? It measures 4.7 ohm DCR on the woofer and 5.5ohm DCR on the tweeter.

Don't know the model #, but it's designed specifically for the 9864 cab and vice versa, so not really suited for other apps.

So you think this is the original driver for that cabinet then? I wasn't sure if it was original or if it was a replacement. There are no markings on it which is unusual, other than the numbers 9520 / 9521.

That's the Engine. I don't think it has a model#, maybe a part number. I think they were only sold in systems, and not bare drivers.

    I have a single 9864.

Would you like a second one? And a replacement driver just in case? If so PM me. I don't know what I'm going to do with it.

Where were these installed? I'm told mine was in city hall, in the room where they hold the city council meetings. I got it cheap at the city auction........ probably because it looked like a ceiling mount heater!
