I'm confused you mean the 828 vs another cab?
i'm asking because, i'm trying to get out of buying more 45$ plywood than i have to.
i really would rather build the A7 500s. mostly because my gut feeling is they will produce a better sound. plus the bigger speakers will impress shallow chicks.

Your neighbors called. They like your music.
I'm lost on how big speakers will impress shallow chicks.
I'm lost too....... The A7 used the 825, and then 828 cabinet. I've never heard of an 828b....... maybe the late MDF cabinets get called that by some?

Maybe he means the 816 cabinet?

The 816 is supposed to have problems with standing waves between the flat sides..... eigenmodes? I beleive that's what GM has said. I don't know how much of a problem in actual use that makes...... the 210 also has parallel sides. It's suggested that the 828 cabinet can be cut down to make an 816 like cabinet......still larger than an 816, but won't have the parallel walls.
