Anybody know which woofers were in these? I thought I had the info and/or had seen it online, but no luck.
TIA

Having seen some racing deaths from back then 'up close and personal', they didn't help at all since it rarely stayed on when there was a head injury other than a thrown stone or similar. From 'old-timer' stories though, the leather helmets did a decent job of it. The first major breakthrough in head injuries was Plexiglas face shields since the majority of head, brain injuries was from objects hitting between/around the goggles and helmet.

Hi Greg- take with a shaker of salt, as the old gray matter ain't what she used to be. But I believe it's the same 12" used in the Santana II. Was used in a couple of other consumer grade Altecs. I think also the Model 15.

Edit: Just looked at the LF/2 manual- sure appears that is correct- shows the Altec frame.

Your neighbors called. They like your music.
I think it's the 34633 woofer of the Model 14/9842. It has a little bit smaller motor than the 33785 Model 15 woofer.
IIRC, one of the LF's uses the same woofer, and the other uses a modified version with dual VC windings(?).
They're similar looking woofers, the earlier 33785 will have spring terminals while the later 34633 will have 1/4" push ons.
Not all vegetables make good leaders.
Thanks all! Shortly after posting, a fellow with both systems being used double duty as subs and speaker plinths on FB confirmed this, though didn't remember/didn't want to look see the DVC's woofer number or what type connectors used.
