    altec 928 x-over?

Wondering if someone is familiar with this x-over. I just bought what appears to be mint 604 8h's, seller says they have less then 10 hours on them, 2 serial numbers apart with original boxes. They are coming with new boxed crossovers stamped 928 x-over. I did some research and not finding much. Has anyone ever heard of this x-over? Thanks

Talked to the seller, these numbers appear to be some type of Altec tracking number, the crossovers are the correct ones for the H models. Thanks

I was hoping so, but after asking for additional pictures of the speaker cone numbers and phrams. The cones have the correct numbers 23979-2, but dont look all that "vintage" from looking at the pictures of older 604 8h's they look a little to wet around the accordians and one of the phrams has a lead that was repaired.... If anyone wants to take a look on ebay under 604 8h completed listings and tell if these cones look to new or a little wet or anything you can tell from the pics it would be great.

To my eyes the cones look quite mint, as in unused an not exposed to dust etc.
The frames look quite clean and unmarked.
That is the correct 8G/8H cone number.
There is an Altec p/n on that XO box too, 03xxxx

Thanks, Magnarc for your insight and your reassurance, not often do you see cones in this condition, it is encouraging. Spoke with the original owner he worked for Altec so all should be good.....

The 928 should be the original 604-8H crossover.. Nice score on the 604's !!!
