    Hi

Is anyone out there selling pre-cut cabinet kits for an altec horn 511b... I need 4 kits, and if something was available reasonably priced I would definitely consider it.

    thanks

they are extremely easy to build, just make it the same dimentions as the cabinets you want to put them on top of for width and depth, and make them tall enough to put the horns into, adding a couple extra inches, and cut the holes to drop the horn into!

Make sure to put a jack on the back and wire it in though ;-)

Thanks for the info... I had already built a couple... and I know that if I build it right, with handles, and jacks and cabinet corners, I end up spending $$ plus the plywood, the structural wood, etc... it all adds up, without even considering the labor involved in making something presnetable... I just thought that since these things are/were so popular, someone might have made up a kit... guess not... so off to home depot I go

I usually give the lumberyard a list of the sizes of wood I need, and they cut them for me to spec. Maybe they don't do it that way down there? It doesn't cost any extra here, just buy the wood, tell them what you want, and you get it. Just take it home and assemble. Rarely have I had a problem with it fitting together, they are pretty good at measuring it out.
