I got another rare bird for ya, I have NOS 601-8E's. Never seen a cut sheet or another one in my 35 years of loving Altec gear.
These originally were designed for Acoustic. Not a bad speaker, never understood why it was not continued.

I got another rare bird for ya, I have NOS 601-8E's. Never seen a cut sheet or another one in my 35 years of loving Altec gear.
The 8E is a very uncommon unit in the US. The 601 had stopped selling in the US, but still was selling in Japan. When the supply of D models ran out the E was brought out to fill orders. Circa 1976 or so.
