One good drop and there will be broken corners on the mounting flanges. That is no way to pack castings for shipping. They need to be padded/cushioned against sharp blows. Instead, they're bolted to rigid framework guaranteed to transmit any shock the crating receives to the precious cargo inside.
I'd much rather have mine packed in cardboard............................ PROPERLY!
