WOW! Those are nice. Right down to the Iconic label glued to the interior.

I'm curious what a nice pair like that goes for. He is probably asking too much if they have been listed for a month.
I personally won't overpay for the vintage 604. I got my pair of Urei 604G for a really decent price. I think they are nice speakers but not 3,000$ speakers.

I know this pair has value to a collector who wants a pristine cab and driver example. I am more of listener than a collector

The 604's themselves are worth 2 grand all day long. I can't justify it, but have seen enough come and go to know their worth in the market.

I suspect the cabinets are re-purposed, and originally housed 515's or 803's with an 802 or 802B on H808, or early style sand cast 811 sled mounted on top. Such cabinets in their original finish have topped 1k.

I'm just saying for me personally they are not acoustically worth the thousands more than I paid for my 604G's.

I am always curious what these end up selling for, but not because I am interested in buying them

Oh i quite agree with you. But, the folks with cash to play in the marketplace are easily romanced with 16 ohm VC's and white paint, and will pay a premium for them.

Also, consider the cost of a pair of current issue 604's.
