    FWIW, AFAIK the guys that created the Mantarays [among other things] are still 'in the biz' working in advanced technologies, so pretty sure they're well aware of what they could do nowadays.

    Note too that they could have done more back then, but by that time the company was being gutted, so very little budget available and why the effort made to 'modernize' old tech as much as practical on a 'shoestring' to create the M19, etc..

    I' m glad to hear this : It means we are going in circles as to speaker improvement quality. That Altec 414 ,Manta ray horn + driver was the optimum standard in sound reproduction.


    That would explain why so many studios still use Big Red
    Urei . The others with their B&W ATC Augspurger Dyne are kidding themselves.
