    Altec 725

Nice unit different from the plain receivers on the market with 70 watts per channel. If the notes and the tuner were placed on top It probably would have sold more .

I have been looking for a 725 or preamp 724 for years, always liked the way they looks. They where selling when I worked at a HIFI store

This one? (725A) Altec 725A | Classic Receivers

I don't see any musical notes, but the pics aren't super.

Stylistically seems comparatively modern for the time-frame, but not clear what the exact time frame is.

I would expect it to refuse to open the pod bay doors.

Mystery Rx in West Haven CT. Could be sparko, but I don't think they make a "receiver". Maybe along the lines of what someone on this thread was seeking.

Stereo receiver and speakers - electronics - by owner - sale
"Stereo receiver and speakers - $175 (West Haven)"
    "Altec receiver/100 watts per channel"

Not a 724/725, but a 714 on ebay now: "Serviced Altec Lansing 714 714A Stereo Receiver Working Great"
