Les Paul's Altec 821A speakers

Maybe more old news, but 821A? 820A, B, yes, and looks like a 'B', so anybody know what I'm missing to warrant a new model #? Did Altec ever advertise 'signature' models other than Rod Stewart's?

This is where the student gets to answer the teacher's question:

821A is the model number for the "cabinet only", 820 is a "system" of cabinet and internal components.

Seller paid $4375 for them at the Paul estate auction.

Since the photobucket fiasco... I have switched to the still free Flickr picture hosting site. Which works fine here at Hostboard.

The 821A is a real beefy cabinet at 170 Lbs. .With components it comes in at 230 Lbs...
