It seems the original schematics for the ALTEC crossovers, while they may be accurate in circuity are merely suggestions. Our investigations have yeilded that values of parts often changed on the production line, even though the part numbers stayed the same. We have found the same part numbers used in different crossovers with different listed values and when we measured them, they again varied. We also found that different measuring devices gave wildly different values. If you try to build a 604K crossover using specified values, it won't sound right. They used a number of internal tricks in these later units to get them to sound right which are not easily reproduced. Simply by using new best grade parts is not the solution. I know I have been working on this for some time. Jim
