If you read the entire thread, you will find that this is not the case, and the original post was in error. Several of the people over there have spoken with Bill at GPA and found out that they do, indeed, still rebuild and service the older Altec speakers.
I will be taking some of mine down to him soon and let you know, but I am sure he's still at it.
