I have a few of these, and they can be reconed with the 417 series cone and voice coil. The ones I had done 13 years ago are still rocking hard, and I use them for a DJ system for weddings and school dances. (along with a couple subs and tweeters of course)

The only problem I have had is because of the stamped frame, you need a really solid and flat mounting surface, if you screw it down to a surface that is even the slightest warped, it will twist the frame and the voice coil will rub, so be careful when mounting them, and be sure to gently push the cone in and out some to make sure it isn't rubbing!
