Re: Nice video of a 515 B restoration

I'm wondering if the missing video is one that's recently published by Satria Speaker ( out of Java - Indonesia ) .

    Satria Speaker channel

( If so ), it is an enjoyable video > most importantly ( IMHO ) showing how those in 3rd World Countries "make-do" with their limited resources.

FWIW, they ( Satria ) used generic parts and don't appear to understand the difference or importance between using an "Over-Hung" voice-coil versus using the original "Under-Hung" type.

Still, a nice video from the perspective of watching someone displaying their reconing techniques.

Yes, the link given by Earl is the one.
It is the 3rd. one from the list of the videos that I intended to share with.

I somehow couldn't successfully load the link.
I copied & pasted the link straight.
It showed correctly in the 'pre-view'.
But as it is it did not work.

Pretty cool video, I enjoyed it. They didn't start with much, I'll say that.

This is not a 1945 515b for sure. But I could'nt see them claiming it anywhere in the video.
I was rather more curious to know where the small signal parameters ended up at. They have not given it.

But the video is very nice to watch, especially for Altec fans.

Re: Nice video of a 515 B restoration

In the comments someone asked what year it was from.

    Satria Speaker responded with "1950"

Must be, otherwise OG wouldn't have mentioned it.
Thanks to you for the clarification.

As I don't understand the language, I didn't/don't go to the comments section, unless very curious about something.

    Thanks again

Re: Nice video of a 515 B restoration

    It's a 515b motor on a 515 C basket.

    - - - Updated - - -

The voice coil used in the restoration seems far too deep. The 515 is an underhung woofer.

Cone and surround are incorrect as well.
