In response to my earlier question about replacing spring terminals on Altec drivers, someone suggested I use the srew terminals that were used by Altec on earlier models. I like that idea because it stays pretty close to the original while solving my problem. But I have never seen those screw terminals and am not sure what I should be looking for, or where I should be looking. Does anyone know of a source for original or reproduction Altec screw terminals? I'd need 8.

    Thanks in advance.

Bill H. at GPA quoted me a price of $2.50 ea. for replacement binding posts for 806's back in July. I don't know if they're the original type or not.

Thanks for the replies. I've already got an email in to Bill, so I'll see what he has.

I wouln't use the early ALTEC screw down terminal, those things are rotten. The unscrew from the wires and fall out. I've got about five 802-806 drivers without those old terminals. Sometimes you find 808s wired directly to the diaphragm with the wire passed though the terminal holes. Check with Bill at GPA, some time ago he had some nice ones. Jim
