I need any information available about this product, or the 406-H woofer used in it.

All I can tell you is that the Altec 406-C, or H woofer was a "high compliance" type woofer. It was used in the large bookshelf/floor model Bolero,circa early 70's. (Home use).
In this model there was also a "passive" "inert" woofer cone, you might say "dead woofer" that worked with the "live" 406 woofer to make this speaker "act" bigger, and have really good low bass for it's size. University Sound also used this passive woofer idea to good success in alot of thier home model speakers.
Sorry I have no woofer specs on this one. I feel a ported type enclosure tuned right would be the criteria for this model 406 woofer though.

I forgot to say that the Altec 406 woofer was a ten inch model.
