    Altec A7 825 refinish

Sooo. the journey begins. Am refinishing the A7 that I acquired that was in not great shape. Basic things first, I was able to remove the drivers and crossovers. I do see the egg crate material all over and doesnt seem to have the bottom bracing. Goal is to get to a decent shape.

My steps that I am thinking.
    - Sanding
    - Wood putty
    - Sanding
    - Primer
    - Spray paint using a electric sprayer with theater gray color.

Please advice if those egg crates make any sense or just strip them and put rockwool as seen in most of the posts.

P.S: Am unable to uplaod any images. Maybe due to being new user. Is that the case?

Damping is a personal 'taste', but for a replica, just a layer of jute or the later OC 703 on the bottom.
