    Hey Old Guy…how are you? Hope you folks here are doing alright. Been awhile, but a friend of mine picked these up(600 clams), so he thanks you for the heads up. He says they sound great but the crossover can’t be original. This is what he said was in there:

    -Electro-Voice X8 (800hz XO)
    -416-8a (might have been re-coned)
    -808-8a

    I’m hoping he sends some pics for reference…

    Cool. I've been OK, just old and cranky.

    The x8 isn't horrible, but a pair of newer Altecs with the mid control would be better.

    Old and cranky….I like it.
    I see the monitor playback system spec’ed a 500Hz and some of the VOTTs used 800Hz.
    N-500D, N500G ???
    Make them? Buy them? Have someone make em…hmmmmm

    Personally, I would do 800. Building isn't too hard. Buying is obviously easier if skills are in doubt.

    What happened to all the rest of the Old Kranky Guys? I have been off the forum for a few years after building my big 604 cabs, as I completely restored my old Norton I have had for 30 odd years and been hanging out in that world. Can hear crickets here now.
