    Altec 805B horns, anyone here heard them?

    I’ve wondered how the 805B sounds versus the 511E.
    Any of the experts here have an opinion?

    Caveat emptor, I'm not a big fan of the 511e. I think the 805's have a much clearer and smoother mid. Just my opinion...

    I have a pair of 805s. they seem to be more evenly spread sound than the 511s I've had. i can't imagine that putting a larger driver would change that.
