The output of the 1581A Line Amplifier is a four screw terminal What looks like an XLR female connector is not really an XLR . The cable assembly model 14953 is a three wire cable to interconnect the power supply and other units.
INPUT: 3-socket
OUTPUT: 4 screw terminal
POWER: 2 3 -pin plugs

how should I wire/output the 4 screw output terminal to a 1/4 out or XLR out? Right now it seem to be going to a terminal strip on the chassis...

If you look on the 1581A Line Amplifier there are two of the same jacks. There is a cable that connects the power supply to the line amplifier... i have the cable plugged into the amplifier but unplugged it from the power supply to remove it and clean it off. Thats why those two jacks are unconnected...

It's hard for us when you don't have the unit in front of you to work with.
So I have to log off for now it's 1.25 AM .
If you have more questions don't hesitate.
