Hmmm ... the orphan in the attic is 10" or 12"; suddenly I'm drawing a blank ... it's in the basement and I'm up here, so that's that.

As far as a sub is concerned, the only use I've seen for one in a home theater system is to reproduce grossly distorted, unnecessarily loud, ambient ooooh-aaaah sound-effects noise. Ever go into an "audio video store" and suffer through a mind-numbing muddy sub-woofered demo of Jurassic Park?

Problem is ... I'm starting to run out of floorspace for rears.

The Polks go into special enclosures I built into the walls when we remodeled that room, and the wiring for the speakers was also buried in the walls.

So we'll start out there, and if the Polks can't be balanced with the 604's ... well then I'll have to do something more dramatic.
