Peter, BTW, which diaphragms you used in your S2: the contemporary Mikes of the original, metal one?

Did you compare between te Tannoy corner speakers and te Vitavox speakers?
RAJIV
They kind of different animals. The Tanoy corner has a zone in upper bass where sound has a dipole stricture and that ads to sound that Tanoy rubber-ness. The Vitavox?s bass driver does not work as adhesively in dipole setting and therefore it has very different wave's front in certain upper bass frequencies. Also, the Tanoy runs all the way up, and quite cleanly, vs Vitavox doing it?s own idiosyncratic HF.
The Tanoy, out of the box probably would be less problematic speakers as they could be just dropped in the room and the will work OK. The Vitavox "juts droped" would hardly sound well without working with them, but if you have patients and knowledge then you might get quite interesting result from the Vitavox. The biggest problem with that Vitavox would be this MF horn that compromise the entire speaker?.

Hi Romy,
I'm afraid I don't know, however I was told that the drivers hadn't seen much use for a couple of years and I'm sure this was partly responsible for the fairly strong bedding-in improvements we heard over the two days.
Best regards,
Peter.
